Designing Learning

06/21/2005

I’ve just put up my latest article on PragmaticProgrammer.com.

It’s a short piece exposing one of the most important, but most neglected elements of our profession: learning. We are learning all the time—not just new technology (even though there’s a shedload of that), but learning the application domain, the evolving dynamics of the team and the project under construction, and more.

Now I’ve got a question for all of you reading this blog. Are you interested in hearing more about this sort of thing? There’s a lot of cool - and helpful - stuff about how we can improve our skills and improve how we acquire more skills. If you’d like to hear more about this topic, drop me a line. If enough people flood me with email, I might just start writing a book. (Conversely, if there’s some other topic that you’re just dying to read about, let me know that as well!)
