Karl Haas passes away

It is with sadness I read this morning that Karl Hass passed away.

Karl hosted the Adventures in Good Music program on classical music stations for over 30 years, featuring programs like “The Joy of Sax” and “Baroque and in Debt.”

I’ve gone through various phases of music listening over the years, from heavy-metal and progressive rock to classical to jazz and big bands. Karl’s program was very helpful back when I first started listening to classical music.

His show is still in reruns, which is an immortality of a sort.

Maybe it’s time to go back listen to some classical music again…
