Know Thy Audience

I found this tidbit in this morning’s local paper and thought the final quote darned amusing.

Pro-Bush college students have been working the phones at the GOP headquarters in Raleigh on Tuesday nights. Stephanie Evans, a student at UNC-Chapel Hill, said the calls nowadays are easier, because they go to known Bush supporters instead of undecided voters.

“There’s a lot of people that thank us,” Evans said. “There are no screaming people on these phone calls.“

Apparently when they previously called the undecided voters, they were getting some “screaming people.”

Sounds more like “decided” voters to me.
